Lviv Polytechnic invites you to attend a festival of science and intellect «Science Festivities»

«Science Festivities», a festival of science and intellect, which has already become traditional, will be held in Lviv Polytechnic National University on April 22, 2017. The venue of this event is the area near Lviv Polytechnic main building (12 St. Bandera str.). Beginning is at 10 am.

Event program

This event held for the third time will host more than 30 locations for presenting scientific inventions, art events and original performances aimed at demonstrating the prospects of Ukrainian science and education.

Science Festivities in Lviv Polytechnic will begin with Latvia Days in Ukraine. The opening of photography exhibitions and a discussion, in which Juris Poikāns, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Latvia in Ukraine, and Gvido Princis, Chief Architect of Riga, are to participate, will be held on April 20, 2017, within the framework of Science Festivities in Lviv Polytechnic National University.

On April 22, 2017, within the framework of the festival, visitors will be demonstrated new robotic mobile platforms. Researchers and students of the Institute of Engineering Mechanics and Transport continue their developments in the field of mobile robotic platforms to be exploited in special conditions, in the zone of military actions in particular. Developers will surprise visitors with their mobile robots МРП-05 «Borsuk» and МРП-06 at the festival.

On April 22, within the framework of the festival of science and intellect «Science Festivities», Lviv Polytechnic National University will host the 2nd International English-speaking debating tournament Lviv Ореn. Teams from Israel, Germany, Swede, Estonia, Lithuania, Belarus, Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Turkey, Tajikistan and Russia are involved in organizing and participating in the competition. All of them will be participants of the Science Festivities and guests of Polytechnic. All in all, 40 teams will participate in the tournament – 15 teams from Europe and 25 Ukrainian teams.
