To create the Museum of  RF engineering in Lviv – this is a dream of Serhii Melnykov, a student of Lviv Polytechnic. Already for almost half a year, together with friends, he collects old audio and video equipment.

Nowadays, students have almost had fifty items. They say that about half of them are working. Those with several copies are used for repair.

With samples from their collection, young people have already joined several exhibitions – within Retro Lviv Festival, held at Bohdan Khmelnytskyi Central Park of Culture and Rest, Innovation Spring at Tech StartUp School and the Forum of Graduates in Lviv Polytechnic.

Among the assembled equipment and records they have extraordinary samples.

We have flexi discs, also in the form of postcards. There is one interesting record from the 70’s, on which, when looking at the light, a photograph of the Opera House is displayed. We also have a set of such records in the form of postcards – all made in Lviv. The most interesting thing among the equipment is the Record Player Elektronika EP-017. It was very expensive in Soviet times and cost almost 1,500 karbovanets, thus an average person could not afford it, said my interlocutor.

Young people say that there are no restrictions and they are ready to accept any old technology and vinyl records, as well as happy to cooperate with those who are interested in developing such a direction.
