From May 22 to May 25, 2019, the stage of Wheelchair Fencing World Cup took place in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Among the 170 sportsmen from 29 countries, Ukraine was represented by the team of 14 fencers.
Ukrainian Paralympic athletes finished their performance with a magnificent result – nine medals: 1 gold, 3 silver and 5 bronze awards.
Among the prize winners there is the Assistant of the Department of Information Systems and Networks of the Institute of Computer Science and Information Technologies at Lviv Polytechnic, Honored Master of Sports Andrii Demchuk, who won silver and bronze medals.
