Almost 300 institutions of higher education in all regions of Ukraine joined the celebration of the International Day of University Sport, which is celebrated all over the world on September 20.
This year the central venue was the Piddubny Olympic College in Kyiv. At the award ceremony, the winners and prize-winners of the 18th Summer Universiade of Ukraine were presented with their prizes.
In category III, among 15 institutions of higher education, Lviv Polytechnic National University won the first place, ahead of the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine and the West Ukrainian National University.
The award, won by the Polytechnicians, was accepted by Halyna Hrebinka, Deputy Head of the University Department of Physical Education.
