On January 23, Mariana Senkiv, Assistant Professor at the Department of Tourism, Viacheslav Chornovil Institute of Sustainable Development, Lviv Polytechnic, conducted a training on the topic "How to use Wikivoyage". Everyone could attend the webinar. It focused on the Wikivoyage and its functions, editing articles on the resource, and advice on using it in education. The speaker of the event also told about her wiki projects and their introduction into the educational process.

Wikivoyage is one of the wikiprojects, a sister project of Wikipedia. Its purpose is to gather practical information about tourist places and topics around the world into one system. Information is mostly provided by travelers who have visited a certain place. The Wikivoyage is available in 25 languages, Ukrainian since 2012. The Internet portal was created on the MediaWiki software engine, and it is supported by the Wikimedia Foundation, the owner of a number of wiki projects, including Wikipedia.

Mariana Senkiv has been working with Wikiprojects since 2017, when she first uploaded a photo of the Ukrainian Carpathians to the WikiRepository, and later wrote an article there about a museum in her native village school. At this time, it already has more than 1600 edits. As it turned out, wiki projects can be effectively used in education both in higher education institutions and in schools.
